Cancellation & Refund Policy
Apprenticeships are small — one or two people with a real host — so a place that goes unfilled is a place no one else can take on short notice. These terms are written to be fair to you and to the people who open their workshops to you.
Booking and payment
You book and pay in full to reserve your place. As soon as your booking comes through, we confirm your exact dates directly with the host, within 48 hours.
Changing your dates
Date changes are free up to 60 days before your start date. Inside 60 days we work with you and the host, case by case.
If you cancel
- 60 days or more before your start date: full refund, less a $150 booking fee.
- 30 to 59 days before: 50% refund, or full credit toward a future apprenticeship, valid 12 months.
- Less than 30 days before: non-refundable. We may offer credit at our discretion.
If we or the host cancel
If we or the host have to cancel, you choose: a full refund, or a free reschedule to a date that works for you.
Events outside our control
If illness, travel disruption, or events outside anyone’s control prevent the trip, we’ll offer a credit or a reschedule. Refunds in these cases are handled individually.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is required. Every apprentice must carry cover for trip cancellation and emergency medical care. We can recommend providers on request.
